It’s been a interesting week down here. We started by loosing one of cats trying to leave on Monday. We are hopping they are both home and well when we get back. Koko was out and after waiting hours for her to return we decided to leave the cat door open and hit the road. Meanwhile the same morning I took hero to the vet for a war wound he had on his front leg that was making him limp badly. All this caused us not to get down here until around midnight

The next day we hit he wild animal park, running. Which is to say that Austin and kaily pretty much ran in circles the entire time we where there, pretty cute. We stayed until almost nine at night.

The next day I went scuba diving to wreck alley off the Loise Ann. I nice ship with a friendly captain and crew. It was bad vis,  by the end of the day I was a wreck. While the Yukon and Ruby E where interesting dives the vis made decent photo’s almost impossible it was almost a complete green out. The last dive in kelp was simple sad. I don’t think I have ever seen such a dilapidated sick or dead kelp area. I’m afraid the SD kelp Forrest’s can’t hold a candle to Monterey (I thought the same thing last summer when I went diving here too). I had hoped to get out to the Coronado islands this week as well but the Friday trip was all sold out, and well the week went by pretty fast.

 This kids had a fun time just hanging around the house here in San Marcos. Lots of things to do, a pig, a hyper super friendly dog, trampling oh yeah and a pool.

This afternoon we are off to the beach for a Winnie roast. Not sure if I will take the good camera though, sand scares me.

Beach party was fun. I decided not to bring any cameras so I could just play (glad I did it that way but wish I had one a couple times). If anyone reading this got a good shot or six drop me a line and I will post them to the gallery and here.

Are garbage disposal that was here when we moved in and probable a good 20 years old went belie up. The thing had not been installed correctly (same can be said for most of the sink actual) and had rusted through to the motor, no big surprise it finally gave in.

Anyway, Charise, seizing the opportunity to complain bitterly about the cracked sink and how hard it was to clean pushed and so we did a minor remodel. We replaced the sink faucet and disposal with some moderately spiffy stuff. I installed the disposal but then we had it reinstalled and the rest of the pluming fixed by a very handy (but not cheap) handyman. This worked out well since the setup was just awful and the valves where totally shot, and well beyond my moderate incompetence to even be fool enough to tackle.

Little rust there on the counter we need to get rid of. Shouldn’t be a to much trouble. Wee! Step one in larger remodel can be checked off . Next up, I think we have agreed that AC will take precedence over the floors. A lot of extra rational was squished into my argument given how hot and muggy the afternoons have been.
