Charise did a bit of googling, turns out that Dr. Parsa is in fact quite the man. He is a MD and PHD and is widely published on tumors, and has done a lot or research both into the type of tumor that Charise has as well as the specific area of the brain. We read one the papers that he had co published with one of the other head guys at UCSF. I’m a smart guy but I didn’t understand a word of it. In fact I think I might have gotten stupider reading it as my brain melted…feh specialists , but anyway; I think this is very good news and we are definitely going to be meeting with the right person next week. I feel pretty reassured by what we found out and I think we did the right thing to wait instead of pushing forward with the Dr. down here that we had talked to, though he was very nice and very helpful.

Waiting… not something either one of us dose well, I think if the ball had not stared to move this week it would have been Charise going at it with a can opener and a soup spoon. She is very ready to have the dam thing out of her head.

We now have an appointment for next tuesday afternoon with UCSF (Charise called and chased people this morning). A Dr. Parsa, who apparently is supposed to be the best person for her type of tumor (according to the scheduler, so I’m not sure what that means). I’m going to try and get us out of town for a couple days I think.
