The changes keep on coming

Well, we got some more bad news last week. Looks like Charise’s teaching partner has decided that she needs to return to work full time (totally understandable given her own personal upheaval). Unfortunately the consequences of this is that it effectively leaves Charise with no job to return to after summer break (though she is guaranteed something by virtue of her tenure status, or so I understand).
I think the hardest part for Charise is that it looks like she is going to loose her classroom where she has 10+ years of emotional investment… oh and stuff, boxes and boxes of stuff.. that, I think, I’m going to get stuck hauling :p. Anyway this is pretty disappointing and not a change she was looking to make. But, hopefully, everything is going to work out for the best, one way or another.

On the plus side, we are starting to go through the motions of setting up a little side (tax-sheltered) business to help defray some costs and get a little revenue over the summer. More on that later.

There are a few new pictures of Kaily over in the gallery.

    Hi Charise!

I just read about Dorothy becoming a full timer, and you being left without a partner….:(. So sorry to hear! Well, I’m finally home for maternity leave. Yesterday was my final day, but I was back in the classroom today and will be till Friday while the sub teaches and I do those darn assessments!!!!!! I wish the sub was trained to do them but no such luck! Baby is due in two weeks!!!! I can’t believe how quickly time has flown. In the past since I saw you at my baby shower we bought a new townhome and finally moved in last Monday! What timing! What a mess!!!!! Things are everywhere and we’re still not ready for the baby!!!!!!!! There are so many things to do too for the new house and unpacking is a nightmare. We finally got our mail moved over to our new address as well. Which reminds me…..I was horrified to see that my thank you note to you which I sent out that evening right after my shower got returned from your address. It took them a whole month to get it returned to my new address. I’m sooooo sorry that the thank you card did not arrive at your house. On the envelope I have 681 Santa Coleta. The post office circled the number of the house and your last name saying that that was the reason why they couldn’t deliver it…..I’m not sure why not because that was the same address we used for your invitation. In any case, when I get a spare moment I am going to personally drop it off at your doorstep to make sure you get it! I’m sorry once again that it never got delivered by the post office…..so embarrassing! In the meantime a BIG THANK YOU! for all the bathroom gifts for little Ian. They are all sitting in his bathroom as I write!!! I can’t wait for him to use all the cute things you bought him!!!!!!! Okay gotta go!!!! Ron’s calling me for dinner already!!!! Hope you are doing well!
